Kingdom Way Homeschoolers

 Our Purpose
We exist to offer emotional, spiritual, and educational support to home schooling families while creating a network of information, resources, and ideas that will enrich various home education programs. We offer monthly support group meetings, field trips, and various other programs and activities for interested home schooling families.

Our Principles
Christian families from the Chapel- Wadsworth Campus established the Kingdom Way Homeschoolers; therefore, we operate under Christian principles, adhering to the beliefs outlined in the Chapel's Statement of Faith. However, there are no religious requirements for participation.

We believe in parental rights and responsibilities, and we believe in treating others with courtesy, respect, and love.  We request that families keep their children orderly and respectful. These behaviors are especially important during public outings because we are serving as representatives of both Jesus Christ and other home schooling families.

We offer many ways to enhance your family’s homeschooling experience:

  • Monthly Meetings for the educators on the 3rd Monday of the month
  • Field Trips
  • Family Game nights (monthly)
  • Fall Pumpkin Party
  • Family Christmas Party
  • Art Club
  • Tech Club for boys
  • Young Authors Club
  • Secret Homeschool Sis (some fun for the moms)
  • Reading Incentive Program (where students earn trophies for the # of pages they read from Oct - March)
  • Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge (at Rittman Rec Center - a weekly circuit with testing at the end)
  • Homeschool Recognition Night - our end of the year celebration where kids get a chance to perform and receive awards. Also, students display their work on tables.
  • ACSI Membership (Association of Christian Schools International) This organization provides the following events that we participate in: Speech Meet, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, Creative Writing, Math Olympics and Art Festival. There is a $15 per child fee to become an "ACSI family", then a fee of $8/student/event.
  • And more!

To communicate, we utilize the yahoo group "KingdomWayHomeschool", which is easy to join. Many local homeschooling families use this yahoo group to share field trip plans, organize get-togethers and plan events.

Certain events (including the Reading Incentive Program, the Family Christmas Party and Homeschool Recognition Night), are free for members, and $5 for non-members. All homeschoolers are welcome to join KWH at any time by filling out the registration form and paying $10 dues.
